Refund Policy

1. Scope

This refund policy applies to all purchases made through AICoachess, including:

• Single Analysis: One-time payments for individual chess game analyses
• Unlimited Monthly Subscription: Recurring monthly subscription payments

2. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, simply email us at aicoachess@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase. Please include:

• Your order number or transaction ID (found in your purchase confirmation email from Paddle)
• The email address used for the purchase
• A brief reason for the refund (optional, but helps us improve)

3. Refund Processing

• We will respond to your request within 2 business days
• Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
• Refunds are issued to your original payment method
• All refund processing is handled securely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record
• You will not incur any fees for the refund

4. Subscription Refunds

For subscriptions (Unlimited Monthly plan):

• The 14-day refund period applies to your initial subscription purchase
• Subsequent automatic renewals also have a 14-day refund window from the date of each renewal
• If you cancel your subscription mid-period, you retain access until the end of your current billing period but no partial refund is given for the remaining days
• You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us

4.1 Free Trial

New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. During the trial:

• You will not be charged
• You may cancel at any time without being charged
• If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will automatically be charged for the first month, and the 14-day refund period begins from that charge date

5. After 14 Days

Refund requests received after 14 days from the date of purchase may be considered at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. We may refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.

6. Right of Cancellation (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This right is handled by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. To exercise your right to cancel, contact us at aicoachess@gmail.com or contact Paddle directly through your purchase receipt.

7. Consumer Rights

This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law, including rights related to products that are defective, not as described, or not fit for purpose. You may have additional rights under the laws of your country of residence.
